Orlando, FL (January XX, 2026) – Get ready flappers and gents, Central Florida’s first spirit-free speakeasy, The BANDBOX, is returning and expanding like never before to reach more Floridians coast to coast starting in New Smyrna Beach with BANDBOX Café & Taproom. Opening Spring 2026, the nearly 3,000 square foot location just a few blocks away from the beach will feature a cafe with a coffee bar and a self-pour tap room serving a variety of beer, wine, non-alcoholic draft cocktails, kombucha, nitro cold brew and CBD/THC seltzers in an amazing coastal setting with a robust healthy food menu provided by DaKine Hawaiian Kitchen of shareables (dips, sliders, nachos), traditional Hawaiian cuisine plate lunches and dinners, new premium poke bowls and desserts. BANDBOX will also offer charcuterie boxes and other light bites and snacks in partnership with "Simply Cheese" in Winter Park. BANDBOX will be a seaside inspired retreat with a mid-century modern design from the 1940's - 1950's. Live music will be offered nightly, a game room with an interactive dart board, custom photo booth and a full event schedule of entertainment, including open mic nights, trivia and video bingo nights, paint and sip events, film showings, non-alcoholic cocktail making classes and tasting sessions and much more.
“Picture a vintage beach house with an expansive patio, French doors that allow guests to easily walk-in and out to refill their drinks while listening to local live music, a coastal retreat type lounge that allows guests to relax and enjoy their drinks and food – Welcome to the new BANDBOX,” says Owner Kevin Zepf. “We are thrilled to have a much larger space in New Smyrna Beach to take advantage of on-going live music, programming and events to bring more awareness to our brand and introduce other areas of Central Florida to the world of alcohol free drinks and CBD/THC beverages. We’re adding alcohol based beverages for those who might still drink occasionally or are sober curious, but haven't fully gone that route just yet. We want our space to provide something for everyone and not limit the offerings to only one specific group.”
The original BANDBOX opened July 2022 in the heart of Orlando's Ivanhoe Village as a completely spirit-free 1920's “Roaring Twenties” inspired art deco speakeasy. For those Central Floridians who may miss the art deco speakeasy vibe, BANDBOX will bring back a new iteration of the speakeasy to the Mills 50 area of Orlando in Fall 2027. BANDBOX will also further expand its Florida footprint even sooner with a location opening in the Seminole Heights district of Tampa in Fall 2026.
“Between growing across multiple locations, our expanded beverage offerings and new restaurant partnership with DaKine Hawaiian Kitchen, it’s a very exciting time for the big return of BANDBOX,” says Zepf. “When we opened our first space, the state of the non-alcoholic industry was much different. Many bars and restaurants didn't offer many non-alcoholic or mocktail options, and the choices were extremely limited. Fast forward to today, more bars and restaurants offer a wider selection of non-alcoholic drinks, and public awareness has changed about drinking. For that reason, we believe our new space can offer both to give guests more flexibility in their drinking preferences. BANDBOX is meant to provide a memorable experience that will leave a lasting impression. We want all of our guests to feel comfortable and for the space to be their new local favorite hangout spot with friends and family that they’ll want to come back to time and time again, not just for the fantastic drinks or food, but for the experience itself.”
BANDBOX New Smyrna Beach will serve coffee available daily from 7am-2pm. Taproom hours are Wednesday 2pm-8pm, Thursday 2pm-9pm, Friday 2pm-10pm, Saturday 11am-10pm, Sunday 11am-8pm. On days the tap room is closed, BANDBOX will serve outdoor walk-up coffee service, and guests can utilize the expansive outdoor patio for seating.
